Lessons:

1. Always sign written contract with others specially with your friends with whom you think you have trust. That's to avoid miscommunication and misunderstandings, protects you and them.
2. Always think about risk management if things didn't go according to your hopes. Ignoring risk doesn't remove them.
3. Always verify every claim someone makes and never simply believe what you hear. Due diligence always. Some people easily lie to deceive you to use you in their interest.
4. Be sensitive and indirect in your criticisms as some people may respond back irrationally. Always start and end your criticism with appreciation.
